Dear Eddie,
I am currently looking for a set of brown transferware to be used at Thanksgiving. Can you help?
Steve
Dear Steve,
I too love brown transferware at Thanksgiving. If you have the time, my first suggestion would be to find a pattern you love, either at an antique store or flea market, then search Ebay and Replacements for more. If you're in a rush, one of my favorite patterns is called Delamere, which you can buy new from Spode.
It looks especially good paired with, say, a salad plate, in another of their patterns called Woodland Turkey.
And don't be afraid to mix old and new! It makes the table more eclectic and a lot more interesting. Thanks for reading, and good luck!
Any other entertaining or decorating dilemmas? Just leave me a comment, and I'll do my best!
Eddie

Eddie; Love you on Top Design. The judges seem harsh and jaded, I love Jeff but the bedpans comment was waay ouuta line. My wife and I are confused though about one thing. Your asthetic seems to be inseperable from Marthas. Are you her or is she you? Are you the male Martha? Iam not trying to be a smart _ss. Thanks and we love your blog!

Hi Eddie. I'm in the market for a new set of casual dinnerware. Now, I don't really shop flea markets for mix and match pieces...I just want a full set of something new for everyday dining. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Hi Eddie,
As the seasons change and the weather cools, I am inspired to make some hearty soups to serve in my ironstone tureens. What is your favorite soup and would you be so kind as to share the recipe? Love your blog!

Hey Eddie!
I watched you on Martha this morning and love your website. You're also the one I'm pulling for on Top Design. Best of luck to ya!
Take a look at the URL I submitted. I've posted a photo of my living room. I have way too many Ikea pieces in my home (a result of the Atlanta Ikea opening not long ago) and I'm trying to "de-Ikea" my place somewhat. I've also posted a photo of a chair I'm considering to replace the Poäng chair and ottoman. I have two questions: What color would you go with for chair fabric in this red/orange palette? And, what are your thoughts on mixing woods?
Thanks!
Walter

Eddie,
Would you help me with a magic elixir recipe to help remove yellow stains from my much loved antique linens?
LOVE your site and can't wait for the premiere of Top Design!
Best,
Abby
